ABOUT MIDILOT

About Midilot

Midilot makes local music tools, with an audio converter focused on single-note melody drafts you can inspect and edit.

What this tool does

The MP3 to MIDI converter reads one supported audio file in your browser and creates a standard MIDI file you can download. It estimates a dominant melody, so clear single-note recordings work best. Dense mixes and chords may produce incomplete or incorrect notes.

Audio transcription, MIDI playback and score viewing are separate workflows here. The audio converter does not split a song into instrument stems or transcribe simultaneous chords. MIDI playback and notation tools work with notes already present in a MIDI file.

Start with the workflow guide, or inspect the WAV reference results and repeated-note failure case. These controlled examples show specific inputs and outputs; they are not an accuracy benchmark for songs or singing.

Made by Midilot

Midilot is built and maintained by one independent developer. What the converter can and cannot do is written out on the pages of this site.
